CAS Norteño Music Workshop: Focusing on Fara Fara Musicians
Workshop Overview
This workshop is dedicated to exploring the rich tradition of Norteño music through the lens of the Fara Fara musicians. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the unique styles, instruments, and songs that define this vibrant musical genre.
Objectives
Understand the history and cultural significance of Norteño music.
Learn to play traditional instruments used by Fara Fara musicians.
Master key songs that are emblematic of the Norteño genre.
Develop skills in arranging and performing Norteño music collaboratively.

Participants will learn a selection of traditional songs associated with the Fara Fara musicians, including:

Workshop Schedule
The workshop will be structured over a series of sessions, each focusing on different aspects of Norteño music:
